Presentation of the website for the Decentralized French cooperation for water in Palestine
Launched at the Action Forum for International Communities in Paris on the 4th July 2013, the website presents the decentralized cooperation in the domain of water in Palestine. The website demonstrates the cooperation from different aspects, notably with the aim of facilitating contact between French communities and Palestinian communities. The website displays the context of water in Palestine, showing good practices for developing French-Palestinian partnerships, and more importantly, makes available for communities a database of different projects - those completed or those in progress - of the decentralized cooperation in the domain of water in Palestine. Additionally, the website highlights the recent events of the cooperation and facilitates research and finding partners.
Received with considerable interest by the partners present at the RCDP forum, the website aims to strengthen the ties and the collaborations between the two countries, in particular due to the fact that the fields of water and sanitation constitute a priority for the construction of a Palestinian state.
coopale.org is the fruit of a collaboration between Palestinian partners and French partners. It has been created and developed in Palestine in French, English, and in Arabic. This website is itself a project of the decentralized cooperation stemming from the partnership between the Water Agency of the Adour-Garonne and the PWA (see partnership). It forms part of the strategy of the Agency in the field of water in Palestine, namely to enhance the cooperation of French communities in Palestine.
